How we counted, and other fine print

Not affiliated with OpenAI. Their "Your Year with ChatGPT" is lovely and says nothing about your 2am mole questions. This one does.

Quick roast numbers are ChatGPT's own estimates and every card says so. Receipts numbers come from your export: minutes are the time between the first and last message of each chat (at least one minute, at most two hours). Water and energy are estimates: published figures for one AI reply run from about 0.3 mL to 50 mL of water and around 0.3 Wh of electricity, so the card shows a range.

Sorting chats into buckets uses ChatGPT's own sorting in quick mode and a built-in word list for exports. Your last result is kept in this browser only, so you can come back to it. Saved PNGs are 1080×1920, ready for a story.
